The Spartiates de Marseille join the EVENTORI community, bringing reserved seating to one of French sport's most electrifying arenas.
Some clubs are built over decades. The Spartiates de Marseille built their story in a little over ten years, and they are nowhere near done.
Founded in 2012 as Massilia Hockey Club to replace the city's historic Hockey Club Phocéen, the Spartiates set out to rebuild ice hockey in France's second-largest city, and quickly made clear they weren't thinking small. What followed was one of the most remarkable ascensions in French sport. From the fourth tier of French hockey, they climbed division by division, claiming the Division 1 title in 2021 before making their historic entry into the Synerglace Ligue Magnus, the highest level of French ice hockey, in the 2023–24 season.
Today, the Spartiates are playing out of the Palais Omnisports Marseille Grand-Est, the largest permanent ice rink in France with a capacity of over 5,600 seats, and they attract more than 5,000 supporters per game on average. In a sport sometimes labelled niche in France, Marseille is proving that the right club, in the right city, with the right ambition, can change the conversation entirely.
The Spartiates' on-ice growth has always been matched by an equally serious commitment to their fan experience. As the club evolved into a top-flight competitor, the gap between what fans deserved and what general admission could offer became impossible to ignore. The next step was clear: reserved seating, built on a platform capable of supporting a club with serious ambitions.
The club evaluated several ticketing solutions. What made the difference with EVENTORI was not just the product; it was the approach.
"After many years of general admission, it was time to take the step towards numbered seating. Among the many ticketing solutions that approached us, EVENTORI was the one that best matched our DNA. Lucas took the time to come on-site during a match to understand how we operate, which naturally led to a shared vision and a smooth partnership. With EVENTORI, we are confident we are ready to reach a new level in ticketing."
— Thomas Giraud, Ticketing & Merchandising Manager, Spartiates de Marseille
This is precisely how EVENTORI believes partnerships should be built: not from a brochure, but from a shared understanding of how a club actually operates — its rhythms, its supporters, its goals.
Through EVENTORI's all-in-one platform, the Spartiates will transition from general admission to a fully reserved seating model, unlocking a new level of both fan experience and revenue management. Concretely, the club gains access to:
The goal is straightforward: grow attendance, increase revenue, and ensure that every touchpoint, from the moment a fan decides to attend to the moment they find their seat, reflects the ambition of a club that refuses to stand still.
The Spartiates are not a club that settles. They have built their identity on discipline, collective strength, and an unapologetic drive to go further, values embedded in their very name. EVENTORI is proud to be a partner that shares that same drive.
Behind the product, EVENTORI brings hands-on support at every stage: from onboarding and configuration, to ongoing optimisation as the club scales. This is not a vendor-client relationship; it is a collaboration built around results.
