“We don’t control the score. But we can control the experience.”
That’s how Alexandre Duyck, General Manager of the Brûleurs de Loups, sums up the mindset behind a game day in Grenoble. And he should know. He’s been with the club for 9 seasons, and on this one, they’re chasing every trophy: European Cup, French Cup, Magnus League.
But what happens off the ice is just as intense as what happens on it.
In the second episode of “A Day in the Life of…”, we followed Alexandre through a full match day; from early prep to the final whistle, to see how EVENTORI fits into the operations of one of France’s most iconic hockey clubs.
The Brûleurs de Loups arena is one of the most modern in France, with 4,200 seats and 700 standing spots. And it’s almost always full.
That means logistics need to run with precision. Be it managing changing crowd flows due to construction or coordinating VIP lounges and food trucks, it’s all a game of anticipation.
“We used to put the food truck and the ticket booth out front, but now with the construction, everything’s shifting. We have to rethink the flow completely.”
The club recently moved away from fixed pricing and switched to dynamic pricing using EVENTORI. The goal? To align price with demand, in real time.
“We’ve basically doubled our ticketing revenue this season. We’re full almost every game. That lets us reinvest in the experience like decor, projection mapping, entertainment.”
And it’s not just about pricing. The team now tracks real-time scanning curves and can adjust security on the go. VIPs are onboarded smoothly, even via phone. Seats are added directly into customer accounts. No PDF juggling.
“I check EVENTORI multiple times a day. In two clicks, I know where we are.”
On this particular night, Grenoble BDL brought in Collectif Métissé for a live performance. Fans got a show on and off the ice; and the atmosphere was electric. Speaking of this, Alexandre Duyck says, “Whether we win or not, we want people to walk out saying: that was a great night.”
