We are proud to announce that Wiremind has partnered with Olivier Sanz as our Strategic Advisor.
Working alongside our CEO and co-founder, Colin Girault-Matz, Olivier will contribute mission by mission across the business, sharing his expertise to help teams improve their processes and overall performance. He has already acted as a key advisor on strategic projects relating to go-to-market strategy and AI.
On his decision to work with Wiremind, Olivier shared:
“What motivates me most is sharing what I have learned over three decades across very different environments and applying it where the problems are hardest. If I can pass that on to the people building Wiremind's future, and help them think bigger and move faster, that is exactly where I want to be.”
Colin also expressed the meaningful nature of working with Olivier:
“Olivier and I first worked together at the beginning stages of my career, so having him join Wiremind now means a lot to me both personally and professionally. He brings a breadth of experience across business, product, and strategy, and just as importantly, a genuine desire to pass that knowledge on. His perspective is already helping us think bigger about Wiremind’s next phase.”

While this is Olivier's first formal engagement with Wiremind, his relationship with our founders goes back years. From 2008 to 2013, he served as Director of Yield Management at SNCF, leading a team of around 100 analysts optimizing revenue across the TGV and Intercités networks.
Two of those team members were none other than our co-founders: Charles Pierre, now our CTO, and Colin, now our CEO, both at the beginning of their careers. Olivier acted as a mentor to them, and it was under his leadership that they first gained the experience and insight to identify the gap in the market that Wiremind fills today.
When Olivier took over the department, he set out to give revenue management new momentum on every front: technical, scientific, and human. SNCF's leadership had come to trust the TGV revenue management teams to run the business, and that trust took concrete form: as OUIGO, SNCF's low-cost high-speed service, was launching at the same time, its revenue management was entrusted to a system designed and built in-house by those same teams.
It was also then that Olivier seized an opportunity and had Charles and Colin work side by side, two young engineers who combined fresh ideas, drive, and a rare mix of technical and business expertise.
In the years that followed, Olivier took on new roles within the group. At SNCF's railway police force, he ran the technology function, from information systems to a next-generation radio network. He also launched the service’s first applied AI programmes and its first drone unit, at the height of the terrorist threat in France, when securing the rail network had become a national priority. He later moved into group-wide transformation consulting.
Nearly twenty years after their paths first crossed, Olivier now advises the company built by the people whose careers began on his team.
Beyond this shared history, Olivier's background makes him unusually well suited to advisory work. A Mines Paris engineer with an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs, he is also an alumnus of the IHEDN, France's national defense institute, and has led a parallel life as a reserve officer. Across nearly three decades at SNCF, he held leadership roles spanning pricing, marketing, operations, revenue management, security, and digital innovation. A recruiter once described his profile as a rare one: a leader fluent across the entire chain, from algorithm to boardroom.
Looking ahead, Olivier sees revenue management as one essential building block in a much larger structure, connecting customer relationships and satisfaction, finance, and operations. His conviction is that Europe needs to build its own ecosystem around applied artificial intelligence, not rent one.
Olivier shared his perspective on why he believes Wiremind is uniquely positioned to sit at a major place in that ecosystem :
“Wiremind is rare in that the quality of both the team and the products matches the ambition of its mission.”
With Olivier coming on board as an advisor at a key moment in Wiremind's growth, his experience, perspective, and commitment to passing on what he knows will help shape the next phase of our story: one that, for him, closes a circle that began many years ago.
