10 Years of CAYZN: Leading Transportation Operators Share Their Experience

Ten years ago, CAYZN began with a simple idea: revenue management should be intuitive, data-driven, and easy to execute. What started as a new way to align data and decisions has grown into a platform trusted by some of the world’s most renowned transportation operators.

CAYZN has over time become a part of how teams think, plan, and act. At our first ever International User Group in Paris this year, some of our customers shared how they use the solution to achieve their goals. We spoke with revenue managers and team leaders from BlaBlaCar, Flair Airlines, DSB, SNCF TER, and Transavia.

For the Customer Voices series, we interviewed — Clément Germain, Team Leader RM & Pricing at Transavia France; Gary Sze, Revenue Manager at Flair Airlines; Andreas Bundgaard, Revenue Manager at DSB; Fernando Amador Pla, RM Pricing Analyst at Transavia France, Manon Gandais, RM & Pricing Analyst at BlaBlaCar, and Stéphane Bouchu, Head of Revenue Management and Commercial Actions at TER.

They shared with us what works best with CAYZN, how the platform is a part of their work routine; highlighting the adaptability, advancement, and satisfaction that comes from using technology that simply works.

Favourite CAYZN Features

The architecture of CAYZN has evolved continuously over the last ten years, but its guiding principle has remained the same: clarity at the moment you need it.

From the RM Module, which gives teams a focused snapshot of performance, to the Optimizer, which runs quietly in the background refining recommendations, every component is designed to make complex work feel natural.

  • RM Module: Central module to monitor KPIs and take pricing decisions in the same interface.

“My favorite feature is actually from the front page, where we can load all the trains at one go, in like five seconds,” says Andreas Bundgaard from DSB.

  • Business Rules Engine: Automates pricing logic with 1,000+ variables, no coding needed.

Stéphane Bouchu, from SNCF TER summed up his favourite feature saying: “The BR module is the most interesting one — it’s rich, really complete, and user-friendly.”

  • Quick Actions: Apply rules instantly from the RM Module to act in seconds.
  • Massive Changes: Update thousands of fares or departures in one go.

These features are the result of years of collaboration between our teams and our users — of listening to what’s needed, refining it, and repeating that process across a decade of partnership.

CAYZN In a Word

When we asked users to describe CAYZN in one word, their answers were simple but telling.

Each reflects a different facet of what ten years of growth and effort feels like in daily use. They said:

  • Improvement: A product that consistently evolves and improves for the customer.
  • Fluid: Fits naturally into daily workflows, making processes feel seamless.
  • Agile: Delivers flexibility combined with speed, enabling teams to make confident decisions quickly. Adapts seamlessly to meet the specific needs of different operators.
  • Optimization: Maximizing revenue and load factor with precision.
  • Smooth: A system that just works, without friction.
  • User-Friendly: Built for simplicity without compromising on performance.

Each word pointed to the same idea: CAYZN moves with their work. It fits into existing routines, adapts as teams evolve, and makes complex pricing decisions feel effortless.

For many, CAYZN represents the kind of solution that simply works, and works well; allowing people to focus on what matters: strategy, collaboration, and results.

Gray Sze from Flair Airlines says, “It's really hard to use one word, because there are multiple words in my mind. If I have to pick one word, I would say, very easy to use. Well, sorry it's not one word, but user-friendly.”

CAYZN Habits That Shape Outcomes

The way teams use CAYZN tends to follow a pattern: quick daily reviews, small adjustments, steady improvements. Over time, those routines do more than keep pricing current — they sharpen judgment.

Check-in On Services & CAYZN Recommendations

“Every day, when I walk into the office, of course I’ll have a cup of coffee in my hand… the first thing that I will be using is the CAYZN system… I check the upcoming flights that I manage, and also the CAYZN recommendation on what I should do.” - Gary Sze, Revenue Manager at Flair Airlines

Gary described starting each day with a full scan of their flights and recommendations before fine-tuning fares for the day ahead. Others spoke about how automation now manages the recurring actions that once filled their mornings, freeing them to focus on analysis and strategy.

Create Customized Views

“To create some custom views with some filters and alerts, with very specific KPIs that I want to see for each type of flight,” says Clément Germain, Team Leader RM & Pricing at Transavia France.

“Make sure that all my sortings for the different KPIs are according to what I want to see on the view that I have,” says Fernando Amador Pla, RM Pricing Analyst at Transavia France.

Automate Actions with BRE and Optimizer

“My CAYZN Habit in the morning is basically to load all the trains but also the powerful Business Rules Engine, to play around with it,” says Andreas Bundgaard, Revenue Manager at DSB.

“One of the key features is the Optimizer, which actually is kind of like automated features that has already done some of my work, and made my life easier,” says Gary Sze, Revenue Manager at Flair Airlines.

It’s a small shift, but it changes how teams work. Repetition builds intuition. With CAYZN, every interaction strengthens that instinct — to spot trends faster, test ideas sooner, and make confident pricing calls with less hesitation.

Beyond the Interface

What stood out most in these conversations wasn’t a single feature or metric — it was how naturally CAYZN becomes part of daily work.

Every iteration of CAYZN has been shaped by that reality. Feedback from users doesn’t just fine-tune features; it defines what the platform becomes. Each update, from a new view to a rule adjustment, reflects how real people use it in practice.

That’s what Customer Voices is about - summing up 10 years of building and growing a product that fits the customer needs. It’s 10 years of a powerful solution that adapts to the market while also building on modern technology.
